Glogster supports visual literacy because of all the different types of media that can be used. It is a great way to differentiate instruction.

The Glogster was the most fun tool for me. It was easy to learn and easy to embed and link. I can see students really getting into this. I have students that have to do projects in class and everyone does a poster or a powerpoint. I don't see much enthusiasm from the students or the teachers. This could really get the creative juices flowing and be lots of fun. Last year some students were required to do a brochure on a specific topic. This would be a good alternative and they would be able to include videos and audio besides the written text and pictures. I have also thought about using it with students when teaching a new concept. This way the para could oversee it but it would be taught the way I want it to be taught. The student wouldn't have to wait until I was back to continue learning the concept. (Paras are only suppose to review what has previously been taught.)

The 'Butterflies' Glogster was my first attempt and was done in a fairly short time. Not much to the learning curve. Although the free version for educators is very limited in features, it will be enough for me to determine if I need to upgrade later on.
